Would it still be the same? by ~fire-angel190:iconfire-angel190:

Would it still be the same?

If the sun were instead named the moon, would it not be the same thing? Would it still rise in the morning, earlier in winter than in summer and would it not set later in summer than in winter. Would it not wake us up with its warm rays through our window or waken the birds to chirp loudly in the early summers morn, would it instead turn our world around and when it was to be hot day it would be cool night or when it was to be cool night would it instead be hot day? Would it rise earlier in the summer and set earlier too than in winter? Would it be hot? Would it be cold? And why was it called the sun in the first place?

Would it still be the same?

If water was named fire and fire was named water, would it still make us cool? Would it bring in the cold harsh winds from the north? Would it instead bring in hot winds from the west? Would it make the animals curl up for three months in the winter when it’s cold or would it instead be the reason for the awakening of the mighty Bear? Would the water still flow into streams or would it be ash instead, would it be powerful like fire or weak as itself? Would it be seductive or scary? Or would it make us sad and drip from our eyes when we get sad? How about rain would it still be there and would it heat our food or would it wash our dishes? Why was this called water?

Would it still be the same?

These things were all named but how, if a Latin, Greek or Roman root were different would it be a different name. That’s how simple it would be to change what things are called; the common lingo of today is changing words. Its funny, and it makes me laugh to thing that if one man hadn’t have come along and gone “You know what, I’m gonna call this thing in the sky that makes it light the sun and the thing that makes it cool in the dark time I’m gonna call it the moon.” And if another one hadn’t sat down by a river pondering by his fire and looked over and said “Hey, you know what I think I’m gonna call this thing in front of me keeping me warm Fire and this thing that makes me refreshed in the morning water.”

How did speech come to be? How did Greeks figure out words, was there a speech before that, that all language comes from, maybe caveman spoke like the Greeks and Mesopotamians, and if that’s so then how did the Mesopotamians figure what to call certain things, was there a book written in an ancient language that only they understood that was like our modern day dictionary, and did they follow it like we follow the dictionary? All these questions I ask myself frequently when someone says something that just doesn’t make sense. Does our speech make sense? Was it all the power of a man that changed the pure existence of the most common thing we use? Or was it just a big folly of man, one that changed all of history gone and history to come like Hitler or Shakespeare? Would it still be the same?

I have just one more question, will it be the same if I'm not here tomorrow or if i never come back for is a life not just another folly of man? Something that can be easily manipulated, changed, broken and taken away?Would it be the same without me?

Ok this was the last piece of writing i will put up, it was on impulse because my mother proposed me with a very simple question that i had to expand upon that question was "Would it be the same?" it was actually about a drawing i did but i turned into something i frequently ponder Also I'm feeling depressed so i added that in. So ask yourself "would it be the same?".
Goodbye

'Would a rose by any other name smell as sweet?' -romeo and juliet.

I think it would, unless you named it something like crapweed, then we would psychologically associate it with crap and weeds.

DAMMIT I WILL MISS YOUR STUFF. ME SAD.

If it'd been me stealing the sun, I wouldn't give it to humans to keep them warm. I'd drown it in the ocean and start buying their souls by selling them fire.
:iconfire-angel190:
